i-Days is a student competition to tackle health challenges. It promotes health innovation among university students through its programmes that are held in academic institutions around Europe.
The students who participate from all academic areas receive an introduction to practical health innovation tools and they compete in teams to tackle real-life health challenges that are proposed by EIT Health, private corporations, local organisations or start-ups.
The winning team of each i-Day will attend the Winners’ Event, a final competition that gathers students from around Europe.
EIT Health was established in 2015, as a “knowledge and innovation community” (KIC) of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT).
EIT is made up of various KICs who focus on a different sector or area of innovation – in EIT’s case, it is health and aging.
