Get to Know the Alumni – Filipe Cordeiro

Olá a todos! O meu nome é Filipe Cordeiro e aos 24 anos tenho orgulho em dizer que sou Farmacêutico, Alumnus da LisbonPH e da Junior Enterprises Portugal.

“Excelente, entrei na faculdade. E agora?” Quantos de nós se perguntam a si mesmos? No meu caso, não foi preciso muito tempo para ter a resposta. A resposta chamava-se LisbonPH! Embora ainda sem saber exatamente o que faziam, estava certo de que a união e a vontade de fazer dos membros desta Júnior Empresa seria o caminho para evoluir. Quase 5 anos depois, posso dizer com toda a convicção: esta foi a resposta certa!

Em 2021, iniciei o meu percurso nesta bonita casa azul que é a LisbonPH, ao ser recrutado para o Departamento de Projetos. Apesar da pandemia e de ser um aluno deslocado, foi aqui que tive a oportunidade de desenvolver inúmeras competências e incontáveis histórias ao tornar-me líder de equipas que transformaram ideias em projetos reais, para clientes de renome; fossem eventos online, cursos e-Learning, projetos de consultoria ou projetos internos. Fizemos de tudo e fizemo-lo com qualidade tal que competia com empresas estabelecidas. Ganhámos prémios, impactámos positivamente a sociedade mas, tão ou mais importante, deixámos a incerteza para trás e percebemos que juntos éramos mesmo capazes de tudo (mesmo sendo estudantes).

Estava feliz, mas em 2022 quis continuar a evoluir num outro projeto que chamou a minha atenção desde o primeiro dia: a JE Portugal. Entrei nesta segunda casa como Enlargement Manager, acompanhado de colegas da LisbonPH, onde durante um ano contactámos com pessoas de norte a sul e ilhas para tornar realidade o projeto mais importante de todos no Movimento Júnior: contribuir para que fossem criadas novas Júnior Empresas, e com isso dar as mesmas oportunidades de desenvolvimento a centenas de novos estudantes nos anos vindouros. Para além de ter sido uma experiência rica a todos os níveis, contribuímos com sucesso para esta importante missão e isso deixa-me profundamente orgulhoso.

Não queria deixar de todo a LisbonPH que tanto me tinha dado, por isso acumulei o cargo na JE Portugal com o de Presidente da Mesa da Assembleia Geral. Em conjunto com uma equipa fantástica, contribuímos para a vida interna da nossa casa azul, fomentámos o espírito profundamente democrático da LisbonPH (sem igual no Movimento Júnior) e alavancámos a atratividade daquelas funções imprescindíveis.

Atualmente, estou nos Laboratórios Pfizer onde exerço funções na equipa Comercial como Marketing Trainee para aumentar o arsenal terapêutico disponível em Portugal e contribuir para que cheguem aos doentes novas soluções.

A LisbonPH abriu-me portas e foi uma rampa de lançamento para que tivesse as oportunidades que vim a ter e para que tivesse a coragem de as perseguir, como as passagens pelo ISEG e IST. Estou muito grato por cada projeto, por cada pessoa que conheci e por cada experiência. Recordo-os com muita saudade!

O trabalho nunca está completo, por isso, continuo a acompanhar, embora de mais longe como os demais alumni, aqueles que fazem a LisbonPH todos os dias. Àqueles que estão nesta família, digo-vos: esta foi a escolha certa, continuem a querer agarrar as oportunidades! Àqueles que querem vir a estar e contribuir para esta casa azul, digo-vos: esta é a escolha certa, não se arrependerão. Venham e desafiem-se!

Hello everyone! My name is Filipe Cordeiro and, at 24, I’m proud to say that I’m a Pharmacist and a LisbonPH and Junior Enterprises Portugal Alumnus.

“Great, I’ve got into university. Now what?” How many of us ask ourselves that? In my case, it didn’t take long to find the answer. The answer was called LisbonPH! Although I didn’t yet know exactly what they did, I was certain that the unity and drive of the members of this Junior Enterprise would be the path to growth. Almost five years later, I can say with complete conviction: this was the right answer!

In 2021, I began my journey in this beautiful blue house that is LisbonPH, having been recruited to the Projects Department. Despite the pandemic and being a displaced student, it was here that I had the opportunity to develop many skills and create countless stories by becoming a team leader who turned ideas into real projects for renowned clients; whether they were online events, e-Learning courses, consultancy projects or internal projects. We did it all, and we did it to such a high standard that we could compete with established companies. We won awards, we had a positive impact on society but, just as importantly, we left uncertainty behind and realised that together we really were capable of anything (even as students).

I was happy, but in 2022 I wanted to continue developing my skills in another project that had caught my attention from day one: JE Portugal. I joined this second home as Enlargement Manager, alongside colleagues from LisbonPH, where for a year we reached out to people from north to south and across the islands to bring to life the most important project of all within the Junior Movement: helping to create new Junior Enterprises, and thereby providing the same development opportunities to hundreds of new students in the years to come. As well as being a rewarding experience on every level, we successfully contributed to this important mission, and that makes me deeply proud.

I didn’t want to leave LisbonPH, which had given me so much, so I combined my role at JE Portugal with the role of President of the General Assembly. Along with a fantastic team, we contributed to the inner workings of our blue house, fostered the deeply democratic spirit of LisbonPH (unrivalled in the Junior Movement) and boosted the appeal of those essential roles.

I am currently at Pfizer Laboratories, where I work in the Sales team as a Marketing Trainee to expand the therapeutic arsenal available in Portugal and help ensure that new solutions reach patients.

LisbonPH opened doors for me and served as a springboard, enabling me to seize the opportunities that came my way and giving me the courage to pursue them, such as my time at ISEG and IST.

I am so grateful for every project, every person I met and every experience. I look back on them with great fondness!

The work is never finished, so I continue to follow, although from further away like the other alumni, those who make LisbonPH happen every day. To those who are part of this family, I say to you: this was the right choice, keep seizing opportunities! To those who wish to join and contribute to this blue house, I say to you: this is the right choice, you won’t regret it. Come and challenge yourselves!
